Standing approximately 309 meters (1,014 ft) high,[3] the Shard is currently the tallest building in the European Union. Rope Access Contractors spent 3 years on site at The Shard with a work force peaking at 70 men completing many tasks from installing all the Spire glazing from levels 72 to 96, to replacing glass, snagging the whole facade and cleaning all 11,000 units of glass.
